Now nearing the end of its opening week, "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train," which smashed previous domestic records for opening weekend box-office sales at $44 million, is still the talk of the town here in Japan. There's no doubt in anyone's mind that Demon Slayer is a hot property.
And speaking of hot property, if you're a fan of the flame hashira Kyōjurō Rengoku, this 1/8th scale statue inspired by a scene in the movie may pique your interest.

Re-creating a scene which fans saw in the teaser trailer, Kyōjurō Rengoku cuts a dashing figure in this stunning, beautifully detailed and exquisitely painted statue showing him standing boldly, legs astride, the tails of his haori jacket billowing in the flames, as he exudes strength and confidence.

You can almost hear him exclaim: "I will fulfill my duty! I won't let anyone here die!"

The statue is produced by Emontoys, based on a model design by Mederukin and paint design by Hajime Akimoto. It stands 202 mm (8") tall including the base, is made of ABS & PVC, costs 15,000 JPY (incl. tax) and can be pre-ordered from ANIPLEX+ until midnight January 11th, 2021 (JST) on their online store with shipping expected in August 2021.
