Udon Gummies–Just In Case You Wanted To Try Eating Gummies As Noodles
Marugame Seimen or Marugame Udon celebrated its 20th anniversary in November and, therefore, has come up with special menus and projects for this special event.
In November, they launched many campaigns and limited-edition dishes, and one of the new additions is the Kaki Tama Ankake Udon from Hiroshima Prefecture.
Kaki means Oysters in Japanese, and Tama refers to the egg. Ankake is a starchy sauce with a thick texture also frequently used in Chinese food.
The delicious udon has as ingredients boiled oysters from the Hiroshima Prefecture, which gives the soup a richer flavor and, together with the warm soup and thick noodles, makes it the perfect dish for winter.
The Kaki Tama Ankake Udon is already on sale from the 17th of November, and it will last until mid-December.
You can order the normal size並(nami) for 628 yen(690 yen with tax), the 大(dai)/ big size for 728 yen (800 yen including tax) or 得(toku), which is larger than dai, for 828 yen(910 with tax).
Besides the new addition on the menu, Marugame Seimen will also sell lunch sets that include udon noodles, tempura, and onigiri (rice balls), and start from 500 yen!
Udon comes in three options (Kake Udon Set, Egg Ankake Udon Set, or Meat Udon Set), and you can choose two side dishes at your choice (onigiri or tempura).
In the celebration of their 20th anniversary, the lunch sets will be available until the 28th of December (every day until 4 pm).
Not only that, but until the 13th of December, you get 20% off for Take-Out if you buy for more than 1,000 yen.
You can see more information on the Marugame Seimen Official Website.
