Japanese character & hobby shop AmiAmi is releasing a new diorama figure of Kirby and other recurring favorites from 1996’s platforming game Kirby Super Star.
Kirby Super Star was originally released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), also known as Super Famicom (SFC) in Japan. It was then re-released for the Nintendo Wii and Wii U in 2010 and 2013, respectively. Even during its initial release, Kirby Super Star was regarded as one of the best games in the franchise, both by critics and fans of the character alike.
Aside from the titular pink blob Kirby, the game also features a cast of some of the most popular characters that we know and love today, like Waddledee, King Dedede, and Chef Kawasaki — all of whom are depicted in the diorama.

The game has a total of seven main game modes that players can enjoy, and AmiAmi’s newest Kirby figure is based on the Gourmet Race game mode, a racing game where players go against King Dedede by eating as much food as possible.
The Kirby Super Star diorama figure is currently available for pre-orders exclusively through AmiAmi’s website. It is priced at 12,100 yen, with the actual release date expected in July 2021.
