The forest of Sayama Hills in Tokorozawa, Japan is said to be the inspiration behind the setting of Hayao Miyazaki's Studio Ghibli classic, My Neighbor Totoro, but there are quite a few charming forest areas around the country that could easily act as a real-life stand in for the charming scenery found in the animated delight. Usadanu (@usalica) may one day find them all.
The talented photographer snaps gorgeous photos of scenery in Kyoto that range from stunning snow covered shines to adorable shots of cats "praying" at shrines.
Recently, Usadanu shared a striking set of photos of a small forest shrine he found in Kyoto with the caption A Ghibli-esque shrine in a Totoro forest", and the description couldn't be more accurate!

The lush green forest scenery housing a seemingly hidden small shrine has many in the comments describing it as something right out of a Studio Ghibli film, with some saying they can imagine Totoro sleeping somewhere nearby.
Usadanu even says if you look closely enough, you can find Totoro in the set of pictures.
