The time we spend in our homes has increased since the pandemic, so probably many people find themselves seeking calmness, coziness, and a relaxing ambient these days.

 

Sometimes it is necessary to slow down a little and indulge in taking care of ourselves.

After a stressful day, I always like to take a hot bath, do my skincare, make myself some tea and cookies, get comfortable, light up a candle, and start reading a good book.

Candles are a great way to create that calm and relaxing mood inside your home; they soothe your soul with their flickering light and fill the rooms with their pleasant scents.

Recently, in my search for new fragrances, I discovered North Candles (ノースキャンドル / Nōsu Kyandoru) and their eco-friendly, soy wax, beautifully ornated candles.

North Candles is run by an international couple from Canada respectively, Hokkaido. All their candles are vegan and use seasonal dried flowers as ornaments.

The couple is from the Tokachi area of the Hokkaido Prefecture and ships the handmade 100% soy candles all around Japan using plastic-free packages.

They have recently released their Sakura Candles, and they are occasionally making discounts for their seasonal flowers’ wax candles.

My favorite types are the Mimosa ones and the wreath candles, but they also sell Pillar Candles, Jar Candles, and Aroma Wax Sachets beautifully decorated with dried flowers.

For those who love a nice ambient, but are not that excited when it comes to the fragrance, North Candles also has a few Unscented Candles you can choose from instead.

The unscented candles have a matte white color, and I feel that they would look great regardless of your décor as the color and shapes fit any interior.
