It's not always easy to find vegan options when you're traveling in Japan. Fortunately for the vegan tourist visiting the popular Shibuya area of Tokyo, a new option has just opened up.
Japanese food subscription service provider Oisix Ra Daichi Corporation has established a collaboration between Purple Carrot, the American vegan meal kit brand the operations of which it handles in the Japanese market, and the casual dining restaurant "CITYSHOP Shibuya Cast."
Three original deli plates featuring some of Purple Carrot's most popular winter menu items became available at the restaurant today, January 12th, 2023, and will be offered for a limited time.

Eggplant veggie gratin deli plate
A deli plate featuring a satisfying cheese-free gratin that combines tofu meat, juicy eggplant, and the appetizing flavor of hummus. Includes 2 daily deli selections, green salad, homemade bread and the soup of the day: 1,320 JPY (tax included).
Aromatic coconut soup with red rice
A deli plate centered around a delicious soup reminiscent of Tom Kha Gai blending tangy, creamy, and spicy flavors and featuring coconut, lime, chewy rice vermicelli, and cilantro. Includes green salad and red rice: 1,210 JPY (tax included).
Falafel Sandwich and Salad Plate
A satisfying meal of chickpea falafels in pita bread with plenty of vegetables and a special dukkah tomato sauce. Includes one daily deli selection, green salad, and the soup of the day: 1,320 JPY (tax included).
