LINE is the most popular messaging app in Japan, and everyone can recognise the adorable mascot characters that the company is known for. The app is used widely overseas too, with over 200 million users worldwide. Now the popular characters, who first appeared as ‘LINE stamps’, are featuring in an awesome menu at the ‘LINE Friends Pop-up Cafe’ in Tokyo.
The range of super cute dishes covers mains, desserts and even some trendy beverages.
The savoury treats include a ‘Beaf Burger’ featuring the bear character, Brown (1250 yen).
Or Cony the rabbit’s ‘Hamburg Steak’ (1250 yen).
For something sweet there’s adorable parfaits with each character portrayed by an ice cream scoop (1100 yen).
Brown stars in a fruity French toast (1100 yen).
Or some mini macarons make for a charming light bite (take out only, 550 yen for one and 1500 yen for set of three).
On the drink menu, there’s Instagrammable chocolate or berry lattes (950 yen), which are also available for take out in a special, original souvenir bottle (1100 yen).
Or hot drinks with cute latte art (650 yen).
Of course, it wouldn’t be a pop-up cafe without a range of goods with original designs exclusive to the event.
Sadly, this cafe is only appearing for a short time, until 25th April 2021. It can be found at The Guest Cafe & Diner on 7th floor of Ikebukuro Parco. Check out their website for more information!
