Floresta, a Japanese doughnut chain, is known for super cute creations, which are all made from organic ingredients. The company started in Nara, and now stores can be found all over the country. From time to time, they even collaborate with Sanrio on adorable character-shaped treats. They've already covered heavy-hitters like Hello Kitty and Pompompurin, but their latest creations feature Tuxedo Sam for the first time ever.
The stylish penguin may be less famous overseas than some of Sanrio’s other characters, but he has made it into the Sanrio character ranking top ten for the past two years. This feat proves that Tuxedo Sam has a dedicated fandom in Japan, who are sure to be delighted with these sweet offerings celebrating the character’s cuteness.
There’s two versions to choose from, both with Sam himself in the middle of the doughnut, cutely holding a heart and wearing one of his signature 365 bowties. The pastel pink coating is created with strawberry chocolate. Treats from Floresta only contain organic and natural ingredients, so the chocolate has been made with strawberry powder so it doesn’t have the artificial taste that some strawberry-flavoured sweets have.
One Tuxedo Sam is black sesame seed flavour, while the other one is strawberry flavour.
These adorable doughnuts will be available from 3rd July 2021, until 25th July in selected Floresta stores (list available online) and via their online store.
