Neko Atsume VR Is The Most Adorable Virtual Reality Experience For Cat Lovers
Just around the corner, Black Cat Appreciation Day (17 August) is a day made to dispel all the negative myths and notions surrounding black cats.
Despite the tall tales people have heard about black cats regarding their supposed ability to bring bad luck or fortune, in reality the mysterious dark coated felines are no different in physical abilities, or supernatural at that, in comparison to their grey, whites, calicos, ginger or tabby relations.
Over the years the connection between black cats and negativity has grown so greatly that they have even been known to face discrimination at adoption centers and pet shops. (There are also dark rumors on the web that the cats find themselves the subjects of cult rituals, but we’ll leave it up to you to decide on whether you want to do your research there or not.)
Why anyone would choose to be prejudiced against a kitty of any colour seems like such a strange idea, especially when they have so much love to give.
It’s for these reasons that Black Cat Appreciation Day was created. By dismissing the negativity associated with black cats and celebrating them for their charm, mystery and love we can shine a much needed light on these beautiful creatures.
This Black Cat Appreciation Day, Heart Bread Antique Bakery – the company behind the popular cat-shaped bread and cheesecakes – is adding a cat-shaped chocolate gateau to their Neko Neko Cheesecake lineup.
The adorable chocolate gateau will be available as a set exclusively sold at online stores in honour of the special day.
The set includes a rich and moist chocolate ‘Kuroneko Chocolat’ gateau, alongside a selection of bite-sized butter and honey flavoured ‘Nikukyu Madeleine’.
Making a rare appearance, the ‘Kuroneko Chocolat’ gateau is only sold 2 or 3 times per year at online stores, so this luxurious set is the perfect opportunity to get your hands on one.
