Tokyo Rickshaw is a Japanese group that promotes Japan’s culture, traditions, and tourism in Asakusa through festive performances, energetic dance moves, and songs.
The four members: Kazunari, Takuya, Zeo, and Yuichi, are, actually, rickshaw (人力車 jinrikisha) drivers originally from Asakusa, Tokyo.
Their new song "Nibiiro Tokyo ~ Chanchiki Okesa" (「ニビイロトーキョー ~チャンチキおけさ~」) placed first in the Oricon Weekly Enka and Kayōkyoku Singles Chart (オリコン週間演歌・歌謡 シングルランキング) for the week ending on August 30th, 2021, following their previous song, "Tenka Gomen no Date Otoko / Kizuna - Nakama e -" (「天下御免の伊達男/絆~仲間へ~ 」).
The Chanchiki Okesa song incorporates a modern style into the melody and lyrics and has a more pop vibe.
