As many artists will tell you, it can often be the little things in illustration that prove to be the most difficult. Things that we often take for granted, particularly maintaining a consistent background in animation or comics, can prove to be a bit of a challenge.
Fortunately, Amake (@BtRuzq), a talented illustrator who draws manga in their spare time, recently shared a pro-tip that may serve as a great tool or lifehack for making sure you get the backgrounds in your artwork in check.
Amake recently shared a method they found helpful when drawing backgrounds of an area from different angles, and it's been a big hit with artists online who have struggled with that:
"When drawing manga, I tend to lose track of the background scenery when drawing panels from different angles, so I did a rough sketch of the furniture locations on paper, cut it up, and made it into 3-D! It made it easier for me to grasp the angles. I recommend this for people that have the same problem."

The Tweet has garnered a lot of attention and praise, particularly from artists and illustrators who have had problems with drawing the background of the same room from different angles in comic scenes. Sure enough, the replies to the Tweet are filled with many artists sharing their own 3-D room background references that they've made, and saying how much it helps.
For those looking to sharpen up their background consistency, this could prove to be an easy and clever solution! Be sure to follow Amake on Twitter and Pixiv for some awesome artwork as well.
