I have been working as a photographer for Sankei Sports for more than 30 years since I joined the company in 1989. I have covered the three consecutive championships of the Seibu Lions professional baseball team, the 'Wakataka' (Wakanohana and Takanohana brothers) sumo wrestling boom, two World Cup soccer tournaments since Japan's first appearance in France, and four Olympic Games: Sydney, Athens, and Beijing in summer and the Torino Winter Olympics. Although I am now a 'catographer,' I am actually a 'dog person,' having grown up surrounded by Akita dogs since birth. However, under the influence of my cat-loving spouse, I became a dog and cat photographer. My Nekodokoro calendar, which has become my life's work, has gained popularity, and the 2022 edition marks the seventh year of its publication.
