A foxy pouch for Donbei's 45th anniversary

On December 18th, 2021, Takarajimasha Co., Ltd. will commemorate the 45th anniversary of Nissin's popular Donbei line of instant kitsune udon and tempura soba noodles by publishing a special magazine with a bonus in the form of an adorable pouch.

The magazine, entitled 『日清のどん兵衛 ポーチBOOK』 (Nissin no Donbei Pouch Book) features a pouch with the Donbei logo, sporting fluffy ears and even a detachable tail charm in the image of Dongitsune, the fox girl played by actress Riho Yoshioka in Nissin's highly popular ad campaign. Dongitsune has been a fixture in Japanese media, seen on TV, newspapers and magazines, getting her own photo book, calendar, and even a pop-up shop staffed by women in Dongitsune cosplay.

In these adorable commemorative pouches, Dongitsune's trademark ears and tail have been recreated in the most comfortable fur fabric after testing with many prototypes. The main body of the pouch is made of leather-like material with a supple texture, giving it a playful and elegant look.

The deep green "Kitsune Udon" design pouch is available at bookstores and Lawson convenience stores, and a chic red "Tempura Soba" design is available only at Lawson convenience stores.

The magazine features recipes and trivia about Donbei. The bookstore edition also features a workshop on how to make "Dongitsune Ears" by okadaya, a specialty fabric and handicraft store!

These pouches are not only conversation starters, but they're also very practical, convenient in size, and equipped with a back pocket and three interior pockets.
