Japanese Study Confirms Cats Do Know When You Call Their Name, They’re Just Ignoring You
Pets disguised as other things is always a joy to see, and one Japanese cat owner is a goldmine of ideas when it comes to cat costumes.
The owner (@minira_diary) makes all kinds of swaddling to wrap the cat up in nice and cosy, inspired by various types of foods. These works are quite impressive and often stray into the weirdly realistic category. We’ve previously introduced the cat as an ear of corn, and even dressed up as a durian.
Many cats don’t enjoy being wrapped up or wearing accessories, but this cat, called Minira, looks perfectly content in his many food-inspired costumes. This latest item, handcrafted by the owner, is a sweet option. Minira can be seen modelling a crepe filled with cream and sliced fruit.

Since crepes are already made by wrapping up the filling, this is the perfect choice to keep a feline extra cosy and warm throughout the winter.

There’s even a video if you want to see for yourself just how content Minira looks in his crepe swaddling.
If you’re anticipating the next delicious-looking creation, check out the owner’s Twitter page which features plenty of adorable pictures and videos of Minira to enjoy in the meantime.
