As the demand for non-contact venues continues to rise, companies are coming up with innovative ideas to meet the growing demand. From simple contactless apps and no-contact touch panels, to smart rings with the ability for contactless payments and food venues run completely by artificial intelligence, there are all sorts of ways we are adapting to the idea of a contact-free world.
In the latest non-contact production, a pop-up coffee store in Shibuya Scramble sees customers ordering and receiving their brew from a locker.
Made in collaboration with contactless AI Cafe Robot “root C” and offering drinks from BLUE BOTTLE COFFEE, this pop-up store is as serious as it can get.
With the demand for contactless solutions growing, the cafe is a great way to experience the possibilities of a non-contact world.
To get your drink, head over to the order-only screen and select your choice of drink. The order will go through to a barista who is located on the other side of a partition filled with lockers, who will then prepare the drink and set it in a locker for you to collect. The locker cell will glow letting you know when your drink is ready to pick up.
