Sakura Flavour Cherry Blossom Doughnuts from Japan’s Mister Donut
Of all Starbucks Japan’s seasonal treats, their cherry blossom offerings are arguably the year’s main event. Their annual sakura lineup usually consists of at least one Frappuccino and one hot drink that can be picked up at Starbucks branches during springtime.
But before these are released, there’s somewhat of a warm-up event that appears in convenience stores. A sakura-themed chilled cup drink is also usually announced, with different flavours each time. This year’s beverage has already been revealed, and it’s a ‘Sakura White Chocolate with Milk Pudding’.

The sweet and creamy combination of sakura, milk and chocolate is reminiscent of a gentle spring day, and the milk pudding pieces add an extra satisfying texture to the smooth drink. As something in between a dessert and drink, this sounds like the perfect treat while enjoying Japan’s wonderful spring.

The cup is suitably spring-like with plenty of cherry blossom flowers and pastel hues. It will be stocked in convenience stores all over Japan in the chilled coffee and tea section.
If you’re dreaming of a taste of spring during these chilly months, you won’t have to wait long. This floral-inspired drink will go on sale from 8th February 2022, costing 237 yen.
