Fetch is a favourite pastime of dogs all over the world, and a go-to game for owners when taking their canine pal for a walk. Regardless of breed, it seems to be hard for many dogs to resist going after a thrown ball, but leave it to a Shiba inu, the most memed dog on the internet, to show us how such a simple game can go hilariously wrong.
The viral shibe in question is Non-chan, a dog who lives with another Shiba called Asa-chan. In a hilariously well-timed photo taken by the owner, Non-chan was caught out being perhaps a bit too enthusiastic during a game of fetch.
She got so excited to catch the ball, that she ended up falling down a slope face first.

Her unfortunate spill resulted in a very dynamic pose, which was compared to the Shachihoko statues often found in Japanese castles. These are mythical carp with the head of a lion, and they are often portrayed with the tail bent up backwards towards the head.
As funny and cute as the photo is, some were worried for Non-chan’s wellbeing, but luckily she was unharmed and managed to shake off her little fall.
