One trait we particularly love about the Shiba inu breed is stubbornness. These dogs have become known for letting their true feelings show, whether it concerns a walk that’s too long, a walk that’s too short, or even a trip to the vet, if a shibe isn’t feeling it, they will let you know!
This famous characteristic was on full display in this cute clip posted to Twitter by a Japanese dog owner. The Shiba is called Komugi, and his moody reaction to being presented with a treat he didn’t approve of was caught on camera.
The short video is just eleven seconds long, but that’s enough time to show his full disapproval.
After being presented with the treat, Komugi takes it in his mouth then drops it on the floor right away, and gives his owner a reproachful look. As the owner wrote on the original post, he looks like he’s saying, ‘that’s not the treat I wanted!’
The reason for this attitude is probably that Komugi thought he was getting a proper after dinner snack, but he was actually given a dental chew for dogs. The betrayal!
Although they can be eaten, they’re surely not as tasty as some other dog treats.
Many were smitten with Komugi’s comical pickiness and left comments such as:
‘His dissatisfied face is too cute’
‘Our pup eats those happily! It must be because Komugi is a gourmand.’
Based on his instant reaction, they must be right that Komugi has refined tastes! If you want to see more of his cute antics, check out the owner’s Twitter!
