On a recent trip to the Hamamatsu Zoo in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Riku (@rikunow) documented an amusing episode witnessed at the tiger enclosure that plays like something out of a comic strip, and is a great reminder of the playful nature of cats.
According to Riku, one of the exhibit's tigers, Earth, was extremely pleased to discover a tire to play with within the enclosure. Unfortunately, the unwieldy nature of the tire wasn't exactly a perfect fit for the exhibit's set up.

You can see the adorable but still soul-crushing look of the tigers as they realize their favorite toy has now plunged into the water. According to Riku, the tire is especially a favorite of the young tigers, including one named Sasha.

Many on Twitter found themselves charmed but feeling extremely sorry for Sasha, but also for Earth whose expression at the end of the whole ordeal appears to be one of feeling guilt over his simple mistake.
