Love Live! Fans in Tokyo Will Love These Taiyaki Cakes Shaped Like Their Favorite Idols
Taiyaki are a definite fan favorite when it comes to Japanese street food sweets. The fish-shaped pastries (in particular, they are supposed to resemble a sea bream) have a very distinct appearance, and are traditionally filled with red bean paste--although you'll find custard, chocolate, ice cream, and even Sonic the Hedgehog-inspired chili cheese dog versions as well.
While they usually come to rescue when you're hungry, they aren't exactly well known for helping you out on the road. That's about to change, however, with these giant taiyaki seatbelt cushions!
Although meant for kids, these puffy taiyaki cushions are great for anybody who is a fan of the Japanese fish-shaped cake, or simply wants some extra cushioning around their seatbelt. As you can see, they even feature a glob of red bean paste that protrudes from the mouth!
They're easy to set up or take off, as they simply attach by Velcro. The padded and realistic taiyaki cushions makes for a great way for tired kids in the back of the car to nap as well.
The giant taiyaki seatbelt cushions can be ordered online from a number of retailers, including Amazon.
