Hello Kitty And My Melody Are Making Their Way Into The Super Mario Games

Sanrio is releasing a new series for its most popular characters stylized in the chic “gyaru” fashion of Japan’s 90’s called the “Tokimeki Heisei ko-gyaru design series”.
The series is now available throughout Japan at official Sanrio stores as well as Sanrio’s online shop.
In this new series, the popular Sanrio characters such as Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi and Cinnamoroll are dressed in Heisei era high school fashion. There will be many different items and goods available; keyholders, hair clips, pouches, mirrors and so much more.
These items are nostalgic to those who lived through the Heisei era, but are also new and unique to those growing up now. This bright and vibrant “retro” style is a bit different from the usual Showa style “retro” that’s been popularized, as you can see from the colorful designs!
Here's a look at some of the items available featuring your favorite Sanrio characters in gyaru fashion.
You can check out a full list of goods in the series here as well as order from the online store.
