Even in the rain, dogs need to get in their walks. Fortunately, the human race has advanced to the point where doggy rain coats and protective gear exist, so even in a downpour you make sure your canine companion gets some fresh air and exercise.

@shomaruoneone had a bit of a different idea when they were about to take their adorable shiba inu, Maru, on a walk while it was raining outside. Noticing that one of their own rain coats might just fit Maru, they decided to give it a try on the shiba as they headed out. As you can see, it's quite the look!

As @shomaruoneone put it, the for-human rain coat seems to make Maru looks like she is royalty from the kingdom of shiba inu. A combination of the adorable fit and Maru's expression has Twitter charmed, with some dubbing Maru a Papal shiba. While it would certainly keep her from getting wet, maybe this proves that pet-sized rain gear isn't just preferred for practicality, but for aesthetic as well.
