Spotting a snow leopard is no easy feat, so when a young baby snow leopard was born at the Omoriyama Zoo located in Akita prefecture, Japan for the first time in 22 years this past April, she became a big hit almost immediately. Named Hikari, the young snow leopard is said to be growing up very healthy under the zoo staff, and often wows visitors with her playful nature and boundless energy.
Japanese Twitter user and snow leopard lover riku (@rikunow) recently took a trip to the zoo and snapped some perfectly timed pics of Hikari doing one of her favorite things--jumping around pouncing on the tail of her fellow snow leopard!

"It's my first time seeing Hikari in a while and her tomboyishness has been refined."
Hikari's trolling but impressive acrobatics displayed in going after her leopard friend's tail were a giant hit with the crowd gathered around her living space. It's rare enough to catch a glimpse of a snow leopard, but watching one grow up and play around like Hikari does had made her a snow leopard star in Akita.
