What started out as a dive in the waters off the Isle of Scilly turned into a chance encounter with a friendly seal for Gary Grayson.

While exploring the waters, a rather eager for attention catches Gary and puts him in his sights, eventually swimming up to him and appears to shake his hand in a pleading gesture.

The seal then rolls over and expectantly exposes his belly for a rub, much like a puppy would, wearing a very human-like smile of satisfaction across his face!

It's a priceless interaction that reminds us that humans aren't the only ones with a sense of curiosity when exploring the ocean, and also shows off seals as being quite bright, and perhaps even the dogs of the sea. Enjoy the whole video below for some extra cuteness!
