What do you get when you take a Renaissance-loving photographer to an old Midwest car shop?
A hilarious but super classy series of auto mechanics recreating Renaissance paintings, of course.
US-based photographer Freddy Fabris happened to stumble across an auto-mechanic shop when he was inspired to take photographs of the auto mechanics to pay homage to the great Renaissance masters. Fabris says he had always been interested in translating painting into photography. “I wanted to respect the look and feel of the originals, but needed to come up with the conceptual twist that would create a new layer to the original,” Fabris told the Huffington Post. The result is pretty darn awesome.
