One of the highlights of baseball games is when everybody stands up to sing the national anthem. There are usually special guests who are given the honor, and at this particular match in Adelaide, Australia, seven-year-old Ethan Hall took the mic.
But Ethan had barely made it through the first line before he was hit with a chronic case of the hiccups. That didn’t stop him, though, and he powered through the entire song despite each line being interrupted by a hiccup.
The players and officials can be seen stifling their laughter, but are also sending warm smiles to the little boy who was suddenly forced to overcome this unexpected obstacle.
The crowd went wild after he sang his last note, and a relieved and excited Ethan received high-fives from players and a huge round of applause.
The best performance of the national anthem ever? We think yes.
