Winter is fast approaching. In Japan too, we are seeing some snow on Hokkaido and on the western coastlines. Talking about snow, have you ever looked at them closely?

Well, a Russian photographer Alexey Kljatov has come up with shot some incredible 'microscopic' photos of snow; they are incredible.

Sculptured by mother nature

All the photos by Kljatov are all beautiful; when you know how beautiful they are, it makes it difficult for us to step on snow.

It is a bit of a wonder how they form something so beautiful. Science surely explained it, but watching them still gives me shivers.

Kljatov apparently takes photos of objects that are as small as 0.5 millimeters. You'd imagine you need special equipment to pull this trick off, but it turns out that you can use readily available items.

Ideas win at the end of the day. These photos are a good motive for us to look at things in detail. It's certainly something fun to do this winter.
