Too good to be left as emergency rations!
This "emergency ration" bread is made of bread dough (using an original mixture and recipe) and margarine.
They are folded into 81 layers, and is baked in a unique method in order to trap the "umami" flavors inside.
Can de Bo-Lo'Gne comes in three flavors: chocolate, maple, and plain.
Although you can enjoy it as is, the flavor is unlocked even further if you toast them.
It is made by a famous danish maker in Kyoto
Can de Bo-Lo'Gne is made by a famous danish maker in Kyoto. Thanks to their concept "bread that is always tasty, even if you eat them every day", this shop is loved by many.
Because this bread can last 3 years in a can since its manufacture, it is suited for a peace of mind, as well as for mountain climbing and camping. The bread is actually made by skilled bakers - so much love and care for an emergency ration, don't you think?
It all started from a disaster
This canned bread was born after the earthquake in 2004. It took 2 years to develop, and was finally ready for release as an emergency supply.
Prepping is so easy
You don't need a can opener to get the bread out of Can de Bo-Lo'Gne. Once you open the lid, just pull the label at the top, the bread will slip right out.
If you want to heat the bread, then get it out of the can, and heat it with the attached wrapping sheet over the bread.
Great for a gift also!
Furthermore, you can design and create original can labels to make your very original can of bread. It would be a perfect one-and-only gift!
Can de Bo-Lo'Gne is on sale within Japan unfortunately; and even in Japan, it is often sold out due to its huge popularity.
This could turn the idea of emergency rations altogether
Canned bread was thought of as something dry and not very enjoyable. But Can de Bo-Lo'Gne might change people's conception of canned bread altogether.
