Starbucks baked Cheesecake Frappaccino just started serving today, and of course, we quickly went to try it.
While I was waiting at line in front of the counter, I saw people were ignoring the menu because of this simple black broad that tells everything for your next order.

In the beginning, I was kind of nervous that my expectations could be let down. The previous fruit coffee series was a success, but this time is Starbucks first attempt in bringing cake into their coffee, and I think the approach is risky. However, after the first zip through my mouth, I silently surrendered. The taste was nothing that I had tasted before, the cheese flavor isn’t thick but smoothly rich. While I was soaking in the cheese bed, the crushed Graham biscuit perfectly serves its own purpose as being part the brown under the layer of the cheesecake, adding that very different texture in the end. The biscuit wasn’t able to dissolve in the cheese liquid texture which preserves the right original crunchiness. And I have to applaud that it tasted better in mixing with Frappaccino than just the biscuit itself.

The new Baked Cheesecake Frappaccino is splendid, tasty, and worth the drink experience. The selling only goes from today June 1st, until July 1st, which is a little disappointing. But if you lucky to sweep by in Japan this month, don’t forget to check it out!
