Ultraman has some tough days on his work schedule. After foiling villainous plots and battling kaiju all day, the tokusatsu superhero doesn't have much downtime before getting ready to do it all over again. This toy version of Ultraman held by Japanese Twitter user and cat lover @shlml, however, performs another heroic action in his spare time by watching over a cat who wasn't given much chance to live, and has stayed by his side as the cat grew up.
In Twitter comments, @shlml recalls that soon after taking in the cat as a stray, being extremely concerned when a doctor said that raising the cat was pointless as it would die within a week. Fortunately, the combined care-taking efforts of @shlml and the watchful guidance of Ultraman resulted in a healthy 5 kilogram cat growing up over months. These pictures really show off the growth of the lucky kitty, as well as the adorable friendship between cat and superhero!
