NIkeID is a project that allows shoe lovers to customize their shoes in different colors, base, accent, lining, laces, and more from a total of 82 different materials and types. The project started back in 2012 and had good success, but Pokemon's boom in 2016 has given it quite the boost! Two UX designers Gene Lu and Duncan Hoge used NikeID’s creative road-plan to (No Pokemon GO back then), play off the success of popular mobile game Pokemon GO by converting NikeID shoes into PokeID sneakers, and they totally nailed it!
