Chara-ben: The Bento That Are Just Too Cute To Eat
One of the most commonly used sauce in Japan is soy sauce, most often used when eating dishes like sashimi, tofu, or gyoza dumplings. However, dipping the foods into a small plate of soy sauce may cause over-dipping, or not enough dipping. That’s why this brilliant yet simple idea was born.
The Soy Sauce Spray!

This magical spray completely eliminates the problem of the bad dipping experience. Whatever the desired amount of soy sauce to complement each food, it can easily be controlled with a simple push of the spray. It equally covers the whole surface of the food, giving it the perfect amount of saltiness.
Unfortunately, the soy sauce bottle spray only comes with the bottle..., not the soy sauce itself. But because of that, you have the option of refilling it with other sauces and condiments like vinegar.
To be fair, the product looks a bit silly indeed. You might also use it to give water to your plants. However, it only costs 100 yen (1 USD) at the 100 yen shop Daiso, and has the slick soy sauce spray label attached. Not bad for a quick addition to your dining table, or in your bag for on-the-go use.
