The lead-up to the Hollywood adaptation of popular anime Ghost in the Shell has gotten reactions from both ends of the spectrum, particularly when Scarlett Johansson was announced as playing the lead role of Motoko Kusanagi, and when leaked cast photos gave us some insight as to the aesthetics of the film. While short character snippets were released before, a brand new full trailer was recently revealed at a fan event in Tokyo, and should hopefully give you a good idea of how the world of 2017 Rupert Sanders version will look. Ghost in the Shell will be released in theaters on March 31, 2017.
