The lead-up to the Hollywood adaptation of popular anime Ghost in the Shell has gotten reactions from both ends of the spectrum, particularly when Scarlett Johansson was announced as playing the lead role of Motoko Kusanagi, and when leaked cast photos gave us some insight as to the aesthetics of the film. Ghost in the Shell will be released in theaters on March 31, 2017.
