It may be rude to Pokemon fans, but the water type of Pokmeon Magikarp has the perfect shape to become a Japanese traditional snack Taiyaki. Taiyaki is a japanese fish-shaped cake, so the connection between it and Magikarp is not difficult to imagine. The fluffy cakes are filled with various flavors like custard, chocolate, cheese or sweet potato, but red bean is most common. It is common to find them all over Japan, especially at food courts and Japanese Matsuri (festivals).
In the game of Pokemon, Magikarp is known arguably as the weakest Pokemon. The common fishy Pokemon has a terrible move set, and it doesn’t even look adorable like Pikachu. To an extent, trainers sometimes even make fun of Magikarp to mock other players by sticking it at gyms in Pokemon GO. Behind Magikarp, however, is the mighty Gyarados, and behind these taiyaki versions is mighty flavor!
Now, more terribly, you can eat it.
