As Japan begins preparing for another sakura-filled spring, Starbucks is also on the verge of releasing their annual Sakura series, a popular collection of sakura drinks and products available only for a limited time. This year from February 15th, Starbucks locations in Japan will be celebrating the early blooming of cherry blossoms in their new frappuccino drink, as well as in colorful mugs and tumblers.
Sakura Blossom Cream Frappuccino with Crispy Swirls
Cherry blossom-lovers will be able to try out the Sakura Blossom Cream Frappuccino from February 15th until March 14th. The delicious spring-in-a-cup is flavored with sakura milk sauce containing ingredients like sakura petals and leaves, condensed milk, and white bean paste. Topped with pink chocolate and rice cracker bits, and a saccharine dollop of maple whipped cream, the drink will be a sweet introduction for the upcoming season.

Sakura-Themed Products
In addition to the limited edition drink, Starbucks will be coming out with a brand new lineup of sakura-themed tumblers, mugs, and other accessories to make your coffee even more enjoyable. 2017 will have two series of sakura-themed products — the Harmony series and the Purity series — which will be released one after the other.
Harmony Series
Products in this series are embellished with sakura and other spring flowers, representing unity. The beautiful floral images are sure to brighten anyone’s coffee-fueled morning.

Purity Series
The Purity series will be released on March 1st and feature items designed to represent refined elegance. More subdued colors will be used for the mugs and tumblers in this collection, reflecting the ephemeral beauty of Japan’s cherry blossoms.
