A man has been spotted walking through Shinjuku Station, seeking out women to bump into with his shoulder, J-Cast News reports.
The video, originally uploaded on May 25th, shows an apparently angry man wearing backpack, walking through a crowded Shinjuku station and bumping into a total of four women in 30 seconds. The original up-loader of the video tells J-Cast News that before they started filming, the man had already bumped into over ten other women with his shoulders and elbows.
After the video received much attention and caused speculation that the culprit may be a repeat offender, East Japan Railway issued a statement saying they would take measures to strengthen security patrols and surveillance. "Because this behavior puts others in danger, we want to put an end to it", a JR East representative said.
