When it comes to paper craft, it seems no one can beat the amazing works that can be seen on Japanese Twitter.

We’ve seen life-size, uber-realistic mosquitoes, impossibly intricate paper cutting, and penguin ‘bombs’.

From the maker of the paper craft gun that can actually shoot bullets, comes a less violent and more romantic creation.

This beautiful airship’s phantasmagorical look instantly puts the airships from video game series Final Fantasy in mind.

But the twist is that it wasn’t made with some high-grade paper craft material, but with an every day item which would usually be discarded once used. The paper artist used an empty box of Alford, a type of chocolate covered biscuit found in any Japanese convenience store or supermarket. The model took 15 hours to complete.

The detail is so impressive, it seems that the creator didn’t just make the airship out of the packaging, but carefully chose with parts to use for each section, making the airship look incredibly well designed. For example, the brown chocolate images were used for the propeller, making it stand out from the blue body of the ship. Same with the red flag at the top and the golden parts used for the railings.

Many of this paper crafter’s works have a fantasy theme, such as dragons or floating villages.
