Okonomiyaki is celebrated as the savory soul food of Osaka. The pancake-esque dish can pretty much be whatever you want it to be (the name translates roughly to "cooked as you like it"), but typically mixes flour, cabbage, ginger and meat of your choice (squid, pork, and octopus are popular fillings. It's then slathered in a tangy sauce, mayonnaise, and topped with green onion and bonito flakes.
And now it's available in the form of a burrito! To celebrate a recently opened Taco Bell in Umeda, Osaka, Taco Bell has released what they are calling "one hand okonomiyaki" in the form of an okonomiyaki burrito! The tortilla wrapped okonomiyaki flavored burrito offers a cheesy and spicy take on the Kansai comfort food, priced at 380 yen for a single burrito or 700 yen in a set with a drink, and choice of tortilla chips or Mexican spiced fries.
