Sanrio Puroland reveals two new attractions which utilise MR technology
Sanrio’s cute creations such as Hello Kitty and My Melody have charmed lovers of adorable characters for generations, and each special anniversary comes with it various celebratory events such as pop-up cafes and exclusive merchandise.
But for Little Twin Stars, two characters known individually as Kiki and Lala, their 45th anniversary has been dubbed the perfect occasion for a Sanrio Puroland takeover.
During this time period a whole section of Sanrio’s amusement park, located in Tokyo, will be reimagined as part of Little Twin Stars’ whimsical pastel world, with attractions and photo spots allowing you to experience the duo’s place of origin, the Yume Star-Cloud.
But most importantly of all, the anniversary celebration will also call for a whole host of Kiki and Lala inspired food and drinks, including cute and pastel main dishes, desserts and drinks.
For main meals you can grab Kiki’s Star Hamburger Blue Curry (1350 yen).
Or Lala’s Star Hamburger Pink Omelette Rice (1350 yen).
For dessert there’s a super cute fruit crepe featuring both of the twins (780 yen).
But it’s the drinks that truly take on the Instagrammable pastel aesthetic. The fluffy clouds of Little Twin Stars’ home come to mind when looking at Kiki and Lala’s Two Tone Drinkable Mousse (800 yen).
Or Kiki and Lala’s Twinkle Color Miracle Soda (750 yen) which looks perfect for sharing.
Or you can choose either just pink for Lala or blue for Kiki with the jelly soda (600 yen).
The event was set to kick off on 24th April, but the park is temporarily closed due to the outbreak of COVID-19. However, there’s plenty of time to live the kawaii pastel fantasy when Sanrio Puroland reopens, as this anniversary event runs until 31st December 2020.
