Royce' is synonymous with delicious chocolate in Japan, and famous for its chocolate truffles, otherwise known as "raw chocolate."
They've sold chocolate-coated potato chips before, but now, for a limited time and in limited number, they're releasing a special version of their chips exclusively made with just-harvested "new potatoes" (新じゃが shin-jaga) from Tōbetsu, where their factory is located.
Hokkaido potatoes are already prized as some of the best in Japan, so it's a safe bet that the thick ridged chips made with these "new potatoes" from Hokkaido are going to be good. Coat them with Royce' excellent chocolate and you have yourself a delectable chocolate-dipped chip!
