We've seen some amazing and meticulously crafted dioramas from Japanese artists on Twitter, including impressive miniature worlds that explore thalassophobia (the fear of the deep sea), Mobile Suit Gundam works of art, and even dioramas that look stunningly like a still from an anime.

Japanese model artist Takatsu (@sakatuca) breathtaking diorama is one that is taking us down memory lane with a bit of nostalgia--and also one that is so breathtakingly realistic we can't believe they're not photographs!

A closed down and abandoned movie theater:

The attention to detail on this miniature replication of a 90's movie theater long closed down is impeccable, making it look like actual location photography in Japan. The building itself shows a lot of wear and tear that looks completely natural, features tattered movie posters and even old HI-C and Sunkist vending machines that certainly don't work anymore.

The building of the diorama took several months, and you can see why. It's not simply the theater that's looks so real, but the desolate and tattered street it sits on.
