Japan takes desserts seriously. Case in point, Sweets Paradise, an all you can eat sweets buffet that costs a measly 1100 yen (about $10) and lasts 50 minutes. The variety of desserts they offer includes cakes, jellies, crepes, cheesecakes… any sweet treat that you can think of.
Not only that, but every year around autumn, they get into the spirit of the season with spooky, Halloween treats. The visuals are unmistakably Halloween-inspired with motifs like bats and spiderwebs, and the flavours and ingredients featured are also perfect for autumn.
Highlights of the creepy lineup include a pumpkin spiderweb mousse.
A mint chocolate mummy cake.
A witch’s black chiffon cake.
Some bewitched grape jellies.
And a pumpkin custard choux cream.
A cool thing about Sweets Paradise is that there’s also savoury dishes included in the buffet, so you don’t overload on sugar (unless you want to). Special autumn mains are appearing for the season, like mushroom hot and sour soup.
And pumpkin curry.
All you can drink beverages are available too, and for autumn there’s a ginger spice flavoured water.
The Halloween fare will be on offer from 22nd September until 31st October 2021, there’s branches all over Japan so check out the Sweets Paradise website to find your nearest location.
