Or should I say, ambassadors?
These handsome lads are Jenny Hanivers (carcasses of rays that have been modified and dried), and last year they were the highlight of this Marine World’s “Bizarre Laboratory.” Clearly, they’re exactly what the laboratory promised, to say the least. But despite their alien-like appearance, they do have those eerie smiles that are strangely inviting…
Which is probably why this one is marketing Marine World’s “original hand towels,”
And this fella is joining in the fun at the dolphin pool. He kindly gives advice, teaching us to “touch the dolphins’ backs as they swim slowly nearby.”
They haven’t seemed to have appeared yet on the Marine World Umino-Nakamichi’s Facebook page this year, so they might be taking some time away from the limelight. Well-deserved, too, taking care of all those dolphins and hand towels.
But don’t be fooled by their seeming innocence — they might bite.
