Sakanaction are a popular Japanese rock band who have gained increasing popularity over the past few years. With an ever-growing fan base, their music is now spreading into the animal kingdom and captivating new listeners.
Japanese Twitter user @oo_KIKUSAN tweeted a video of one avid animal fan of Sakanaction — her brother’s Java Sparrow.
The song is “Yoru no Odoriko” (“Night Dancer”), and we must admit it’s pretty catchy. The bird really starts getting into it about 10 seconds in when it starts chirping along with the music. We’ll totally be down with going to a rock concert with this cheerful bird.
In case you’ve noticed already, this is actually the mating dance of Java Sparrows. With that said, this Java Sparrow is definitely listening to the music and moving its body to the beat. Maybe it was the melody, maybe it was another girl Java Sparrow he saw across the room; all we can say is, his excitement is so contagious, it makes us want to get up and dance too!
