Japan’s Intriguing New Dessert Looks Like Moss But Tastes Like Matcha
Any camera owner can relate to the feeling of dread after realizing they’ve somehow misplaced their lens cap. Should they buy a new one (lens caps aren’t super cheap, mind you), or should they wing it and be extra careful not to scratch up their lens?
Well, it turns out that a Japanese photographer had already found a sweet solution to this dilemma back in 2014. Just eat a cup of Häagen-Dazs ice cream.
Finding out that he could recycle the lid of his Häagen-Dazs ice cream cup, the photographer tweeted the discovery for the rest of the world to try out.
This Häagen-Dazs lid perfectly fits my 72mm lens (lol). Try it out on your kit lens!
The only catch is that this trick only works on 72mm lenses. But as long as the lens is that size, it will fit any camera regardless of brand.
This discovery rattled the lives of Japanese photographers everywhere, and while peoples’ immediate reactions were that of surprise, it is now regarded as a common piece of knowledge among Japanese photography enthusiasts.
