Cold Stone Creamery debut Japanese style matcha and mochi ice creams to celebrate New Year

Known in America as a simple campfire treat, s'mores have been recently gaining popularity in Japan has a trendy dessert.
For those who don’t know, s'mores are graham crackers with melted chocolate and marshmallow sandwiched between them. Last year, Starbucks Japan brought out the S'mores Frappuccino and this year they’re returning to it, but with a Japanese twist!
With the childhood camping image it conjures up for many, S'mores make the perfect Frappucino for summer, and Starbucks’ next offering this season will be the Matcha S'mores Frappuccino.
Starbucks worked hard to replicate the texture of s'mores with a range of components. You can expect fluffy whipped cream, crispy and sweet biscuits, baked chocolate and freeze-dried crispy marshmallows. Bitter green tea flavour is cancelled out by the very sweet chocolate making them a perfect match.
Starbucks boast that this new beverage’s matcha taste will be 1.5 times richer than their Matcha Cream Frappuccino. The non-fat milk used also ensures that the drink will be refreshingly light for the summer.
The Frappuccino will be available from 8th August to the 30th and will cost 590 yen not including tax.
