You don't need to be an anime or manga veteran to recognize the trope of a cocky or intelligent character adjusting their glasses dramatically with just their middle fingers and a smirk. To add even more dramatic emphasis, characters often look downward while doing so, and a sudden glean will turn their lenses completely white--just to drive the point home their point, or that things have gone according to their plan.
Things don't really work that way in real life, unfortunately, but Hideki Katsumura (@dekantsu) may have provided us all with a way to live out those small moments of anime drama with his homemade shining "when glasses-wearing characters in anime are planning" glasses!

He even pulled off Gendo Hikari's classic pose from Neon Genesis Evangelion.

To accomplish the look, @denkatsu simply went to Daiso, one of Japan's 100 yen stores, and picked up a pair of cheap glasses. He then inserted LED lights in place of the lens, and the result was a pair of glasses that produce the all too common white-eyed look of glasses-wearing anime characters who theatrically make observations or complicated plots. The back of each light is fitted with a slice of board acting as barrier, however, so the light isn't too blinding. It also means you can't actually see out of the glasses, but the intended use is for cosplay or just funny pictures posted to social media.
