On October 15th, 2018, Philips Japan held a press conference and trial presentation of its Shaver S9000 Prestige, a precision shaver boasting the world's closest electric shave while maintaining a high level of comfort.

The conference began with Philips Japan CEO Hiroyuki Tsutsumi began tracing the company's history in Japan since 1953, and explaining how an emphasis on leading in fields of healthcare and health technology has helped foster a constant need for innovation within the company. This has evidently translated well into the field of men's grooming, with the Shaver S9000 Prestige being touted as a technological achievement that makes an uncompromising effort toward precision and skin comfort, resulting in what guests popular Japanese comedians TKO (Takehiro Kimoto and Takayuki Kinoshita) described to those in attendance as an unprecedented feeling of luxury.

While TKO entertained the crowd with their comedic stylings, they also engaged in a discussion about the importance of skin care and praised the level of assured comfort and maintenance the Shaver S9000 Prestige added to their daily routines, which of course include many public appearances.

Following the presentation, those in attendance were allowed a hands-on "touch and trial" with Shaver S9000 Prestige, and a closer look at the new features it brings to the table.

NanoTech precision blades allow for as close and timely a shave as possible, while metallic pigments are anti-friction and comfortably glide over sensitive skin with no sting or lingering unpleasant feeling (three custom settings offer options for a more personalized shave). The shaver also comes equipped with a premium protective pouch and lithium-ion battery capable of charging the device within an hour. Being fully washable, the Shaver S9000 Prestige fits in as an easy centerpiece to the restroom.
