Players of Animal Crossing: New Horizons have been on a great streak of creativity when it comes to designing their islands, including recreations of old Showa-era Japan and even a scene for scene retelling of Studio Ghibli classic Spirited Away.
Revered Kyoto-based kimono maker Chiso is now throwing their hat into the Animal Crossing ring. Chiso is releasing downloadable official designs modeled after their celebrated kimono. which uses the the traditional Kyo Yuzen dyeing techniqu.
Established in Kyoto in 1555, Chiso is well known in Japan for gorgeous luxury kimono that utilize the Kyo Yuzen dyeing technique to produce scenes of nature with vibrant colors. The designs are modeled after Chiso's long-sleeved kimono 2020 collection. Chiso has released four kimono designs in total, two of which are original creations made exclusively for Animal Crossing.
Chiso's famous vividly colored kimono seem right at home in the bubbly and bright aesthetic of Animal Crossing.
