Not to be outdone by her best friend Hello Kitty who has been exploring new ways of reaching out to her fans such as DJing (as "DJ Hello Kitty" since 2010) and becoming a virtual YouTuber (since September 2018), Sanrio's My Melody is now getting into the act, announcing she'll be making her debut as a radio DJ.

Slated to begin broadcasting on April 7th on the internet radio network TS ONE, "My Melody's My Melo Therapy" (『マイメロディのマイメロセラピー』) will feature My Melody answering questions submitted by her listeners online and playing soothing music.

To paraphrase her press release, My Melody will be DJing from the "Forest of Music" in Mariland (no relationship to the US state), where she lives, offering advice to listeners who are dealing with problems and stress. Is something bugging you at school or at work? Are you uncertain about your future career or considering changing jobs? Are you stressed out with relationship issues? No matter what it is, My Meldody will do her very best to respond to your questions and encourage you with words and music.
